My Life, My Story
Hello! My name is Justin Canas, and I graduated from Jessup University in Rocklin California, with a bachelor of arts in music with a specialization in worship arts.
My passions in life are God, my family, and to play music. I love serving The Lord with music and I want to spread The Good News of The Lord to others through worship. I have worked with many worship leaders in the greater Sacramento area and parts of Solano County and Yolo County. Over the years, I have played bass guitar with many different teams, expanding my skills to acoustic guitar and some keys/piano playing.

I hope to be a shepherd like Jesus and spread his love by being an example both on and off the stage. I work hard and strive to be the best musician I can be.

Future Mr. & Mrs. Canas
This is my loving fiancée Kayla. We plan to get married this November (2025), and will be starting our story together. We met at school in the University Choir and Orchestra. I sang and she played in the orchestra. She is a talented musician in her own right.
We enjoy going to concerts together and going out on adventures to many different places, spreading the good news as we travel the world.
We help each other grow and push each other to do better by God's good will.
My Fiancée Kayla
Kayla also has graduated from Jessup University with a bachelor of arts in English. She is finishing up with her Master's program in teaching and will graduate this December. Kayla has a passion for teaching English and is pursuing a career to teach high school English in either private or public school.

One notable thing about her is that she loves serving The Lord by helping others in need, by going on missions and traveling the world. She wants to be the one helping behind the scenes.

She is my rock and my biggest supporter for my journey through ministry. God has truly blessed me with such a wonderful woman.

Education
2021-2024
Jessup University
I transferred to Jessup in 2021 and attended there for three years. I studied music and learned from classes like live sound mixing, Logic Pro, conducting, vocal pedagogy, and arrangement in pop music. I also worked for their media Service department for chapels, running cameras, video switchers, and occasionally sound. I also did some light video and photo editing.
2018-2021
Napa Valley College
I attended Napa Valley Community College to complete most of my general education credits and music theory and ear training classes. I then transferred to Jessup, where I completed most of my credits. My applied instrument was a voice, which followed me to Jessup when I transferred.
2010-2014
Will C. Wood
High School
I attended Will C. Wood High School in Vacaville and completed my general education. I played French horn and marched in the band. I also sang and rang handbells. I then took a couple of years off to work and find what God had been calling me to do for the rest of my life.
